  • Enigami Studio announces upcoming personal projects - which we will happily share with you in mid to late 2007 when our online galleries are reborn. At that time, we will be adding much more to the mix so please stay tuned. Meantime, upcoming projects - beyond the wildife and equine subjects we will include more fantasy art, and more 'experimental' pieces. In progress as we 'speak' are paintings featuring some of the artist's favourite musicians - such as Greg Keelor and Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo, and of course, what new gallery would be complete without a new painting of Lawrence Gowan?

We are also delighted to announce a personal project that is nothing short of a true labour of love for the artist. Dubbed the "Blue Spruce Project", this series of paintings will celebrate the original Morgan Horse that the artist first fell in love with - the Lippitt lines, and will feature the exquisite Moro Hill bred horses of Blue Spruce Morgans in Sagola, Michigan. Many thanks to Gary and Janet for their incredible enthusuasm and support of the project - not to mention a wonderful new friendship I know will last forever. Some of the paintings from this series will be featured in Horses in Art.

Stay tuned - there is a lot happening at Enigami Studio...We are honoured to share our vision with you.

Website revamped and new artworks on the horizon

The artist hopes that you will enjoy the newly revamped website. Enjoy the time spent in perusing the beautiful art.

News - 2003

The artist is deeply saddened to report the loss of her best friend of the last 15 years. 'Nazca Peru' - a 14/16 Timber Wolf, was humanely put to sleep on February 7, 2003, and passed away quietly in her 'mother's' arms. She was a very special friend and dear to all who knew her, as well as being the inspiration for several of the artist's paintings. She will be sorely missed. Sincerest thanks to all her Vets and Pharmacists. (Nazca was diabetic for the last 2 1/3 yrs of her life.)

News - 2002

  • H.D. Mitchell won first place in the American Morgan Horse Association's Morgan art contest with "Eli" in harness.
  • The artist also won two awards for her photography in the AMHA's equine photography contest in the senior/professional category.
